Agile
Commonly referred to by comparison with waterfall, Agile is an approach to project management that focussed on trust, teamwork, feedback and iteration. It is not about a lack of measurement, accountability or rigour, especially when done well. Our default approach to Agile is based on scrum with two-week sprints and all work tracked on Jira and Jobcontrol (our in-house time tracking software), but of course we change the approach where it makes sense. Atlassian have great content on Agile which we recommend for those who’d like to read more: https://www.atlassian.com/agile/project-management/project-management-intro
You can expect your Technical Delivery Manager to not only be familiar with Agile, but also to advocate for it and discuss openly with the squad on how best to apply it in sprint retrospectives. If that’s not happening in your current project it might be worth taking a closer look.
